Frequently asked questions

How do I install InvoiceForge?

Install InvoiceForge directly from the Shopify App Store. Once installed, the app appears in your Shopify admin under Apps. No additional configuration is required to start generating documents.

What types of documents can I generate?

InvoiceForge supports invoices, packing slips, receipts, credit notes, quotes, and proforma invoices. Every document type has its own customizable templates.

Can I use my own branded templates?

Yes. Use the drag-and-drop template builder to add your logo, customize colors, fonts, and layout, and create unlimited templates per document type. You can also start from pre-built professional templates in the gallery.

Can documents be generated automatically?

Yes. In Settings → Automation, choose to auto-generate documents when an order is paid, fulfilled, or refunded. Documents can be emailed to the customer automatically.

How are emails delivered?

InvoiceForge sends emails through our secure transactional email service. Emails come from our verified sending domain with your store name in the From field, and customer replies are routed back to your store's reply-to address.

Can I export data for accounting?

Yes. Use Exports to download CSV files formatted for QuickBooks, Xero, or generic spreadsheets. Filter by date range and document type before exporting.

Does InvoiceForge support multiple languages and currencies?

Yes. Templates can be translated into 12+ languages, and document amounts display in the order's presentment currency to match what the customer paid.

Is my customer data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. We follow Shopify's data protection requirements and the GDPR, and process customer data solely for document generation and delivery. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What happens when I uninstall the app?

All your shop data, templates, settings, and generated documents are scheduled for deletion automatically when you uninstall, in compliance with Shopify's GDPR webhooks. Deletion is completed within 30 days.

How do I get help with a specific issue?

Email us at invoiceforge@addoneplugins.com with a description of the issue, your shop domain, and screenshots if possible. We aim to respond within 1 business day.

Status and uptime

For real-time service status, billing questions, or urgent issues affecting your store operations, email us with “URGENT” in the subject line. We monitor urgent inboxes outside of business hours.
